A Note On How I Practice

Scope, Limits, and Fit

After taking some time to reflect at the end of 2025, I wanted to be clearer about who my way of working tends to support best. This comes from noticing recurring patterns in my work over the past years, and naming them more openly.

The intention here is not to put up barriers or to discourage you from reaching out if you do not fit these descriptions exactly. Rather, it is an invitation to reflect before getting in touch, and to consider whether my way of working, or someone else’s, may be the right support for you.

A Possible Fit

  • You may take on more than you have capacity for.
  • You care deeply about the world around you.
  • Nature or animals matter to you in a real, grounding way.
  • You tend towards hyper-independence.
  • You often blame yourself before looking for a more balanced view.
  • Sounds can be both soothing and overwhelming for you.
  • You have experienced exclusion, often without clear reason, other than being seen as different.
  • You keep going despite exhaustion, sometimes at the cost of your energy.
  • Burnout is not new to you.

The Limits of What I Offer

  • If you are currently in a crisis or emergency situation (excluding bereavements).
  • If your basic needs, such as housing or food, are not secure.
  • If the main difficulties you are facing are external circumstances that psychotherapy (an internal process) cannot change on its own.
  • If you are not in a place where you can engage with change beyond the therapy setting, for example around rest, routine, substance use, or daily care. Therapy on its own has limits.
  • If you are looking for support that requires frequent contact outside sessions or flexibility beyond what I can offer.

None of this is entirely black and white. That is why I offer a free introductory call, so we can sense together whether working together feels right.

Please review my credentials, training and fees to see if I might be a good fit for you. If you’d like to explore working together, you can arrange a free video call via my contact form.
