The rise in people looking for conversion therapy on my site led me to write this. If you’re seeking to change your sexual orientation or gender identity through conversion or reparative therapy, this is for you. Here are the facts: Evidence shows that conversion therapy is harmful. Studies and organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), have highlighted the lack of proof that conversion therapy can change sexual orientation and have called it unethical due to the severe threat it poses to individuals’ health and rights.

Despite evidence against it, some individuals, desperate to change their sexual orientation or gender identity, consider conversion therapy. A UK Government Equality Office survey found a small percentage had been offered or undergone conversion therapy.

So what can you do?

Conversion therapy is unethical and damaging. Look for a therapist who respects and affirms who you are. If therapy feels too overwhelming right now, you have options:
